DHA/ MOH/ DOH Licensing

1) DHA – Dubai Health Authority

DHA is known as Dubai Health Authority, this is the primary health body in the emirate of Dubai.

It provides the DHA license for medical professionals seeking to pursue a medical career in Dubai.

2) MOH – Ministry of Health

MOH is known as Ministry of Health which is the body regulates all the healthcare sector in the emirates of Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah & Umm Al Quwain. Every healthcare professional work in these regions need requires MOH license.

3) DOH – Department of Health Abu Dhabi

Previously called has HAAD: Health Authority Abu Dhabi. This is the primary health body in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Every healthcare professional looking to work in Abu Dhabi region required to obtain DOH license.

OMSB - Medical Licensing and Registration system in the GULF (Oman)

In Oman, the self-governing regulator that oversees the equivalency certification is the Oman Medical Specialty Board / OMSB. They require that qualified foreign healthcare professionals undergo the Prometric exam and get documents verification from Data-flow. OMSB oversees and administers exams both locally and internationally. Aside from local exams, they have contracted Prometric to dispense medical exams. It also supervises the evaluation of professional licenses issued by other countries.

QCHP –Qatar Council of Healthcare Practitioner

The Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners provides computer based examination (Prometric) for 15 categories of healthcare practitioners as follows: General Practitioner, General Dentist, Pharmacist, Registered General Nurse, Registered Midwife, Lab Technologist, Lab Technician, Radiology Technologist, Radiology Technician, Physiotherapist, Basic Paramedic, Paramedic, Dental Assistant, Dental Hygienist, and Dental Lab Technician.

AMC –Australian Medical Council

The Standard Pathway is for international medical graduates (IMGs) seeking general registration with the Medical Board of Australia (the Board) and involves completion of the written examination (CAT MCQ) and the structured clinical examination of the Australian Medical Council (AMC) or approved workplace based assessment program.
